HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

  • Daily Health Screen: Please screen your child each morning for possible symptoms of illness and fever. Should your child have symptoms of illness, please keep your child at home and email our office to inform us of any illness to keep our SCC community informed.

  • Health Screening: Staff and students will be screened for symptoms throughout the day.

  • When to keep your child at home: All staff and students will remain home if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness and must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school. All students and staff must stay home 48 hours after last fever. All staff or students with Covid 19, or if anyone in their home has Covid 19 symptoms, awaiting a Covid test result, or a positive test, MUST STAY AT HOME. Please keep your child at home if a family member has symptoms of illness.

  • Cleaning Policy: SCC cleans and disinfects toys, tables, equipment, and frequently touched surfaces throughout the day. SCC employs a cleaning crew that deep cleans, disinfects and sanitizes our entire facility, classrooms and equipment each evening.

  • Hand Washing: Please wash your child’s hands before coming to school.  Frequent and proper hand washing of all staff and students will be practiced throughout the day, especially before and after eating, after using the bathroom and playing outside. Baby wipes are available in each classroom to wipe down hands throughout the day.

  • Positive Covid-19 Reporting: Should we have a positive Covid-19 case reported to SCC, staff, or student, we are required to immediately report the case to the Health Department and CA Community Care Licensing. From there it is determined by the Health Department as to the exposure level, who may have to quarantine, and who we must immediately notify.

  • Health Notices: We will send out Health Notifications should we have multiple children with an illness, flu, or cold. You will be notified if we have a positive Covid-19 exposure case.
